Gautier Paulin Carries the French Team to a Fifth Consecutive Victory at the Motocross of Nations, While Pirelli Grabs Holeshots and Wins in All Three Races

BUCHANAN, MI – October 9, 2018 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – An incredible crowd followed the 72nd edition of the annual Motocross of Nations that was hosted by the RedBud circuit in Michigan. The track consisted of medium-hard soil with a sandy surface and due to the heavy rains that hit the area during the weekend was particularly slippery and tricky. The SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and SCORPION™ MX Soft rear tires could show their full potential with high performance that enabled Pirelli-equipped riders to achieve dominating results in all classes.

Jeffrey Herlings - Pirelli - MXoN

Gautier Paulin led the French team to the Chamberlain Trophy for the fifth consecutive year. Behind the French was a strong second place for the Italian team fronted by nine-time World Champion Antonio Cairoli, Alessandro Lupino and Michele Cervellin. The Dutch team, which consisted of Jeffrey Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff and Calvin Vlaanderen took third position.

Jorge Prado - Pirelli - MXoN - RedBud

Pirelli also took individual overall victories in the MXGP class with Jeffrey Herlings, in MX Open with double moto winner Glenn Coldenhoff, and in MX2 with the freshly crowned world champion Jorge Prado. In addition to claiming all three class overalls, Pirelli riders swept all three holeshots and moto wins on Sunday.
