For the 13th time in a row, readers of MOTORRAD, Europe’s largest motorcycle magazine, have named the helmet manufacturer SCHUBERTH their best brand.
MAGDEGURG, GERMANY – March 13, 2018 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – “We did it!” Jan-Christian Becker is thrilled and proud. On 12 March, the CEO of the SCHUBERTH Group once again had the honor of accepting the 2018 “Motorcycle of the Year” at the readers’ awards ceremony held at the Renitenz theatre in Stuttgart: “Our 13th victory in a row – a big thanks to all those who voted for SCHUBERTH. We are honored by the trust placed in us by the MOTORRAD readers.”
Since the “Best Brand” readers’ poll was launched 13 years ago, SCHUBERTH has always won the Helmets category. This time, around 51,500 MOTORRAD readers took part in the vote. Asked which brands’ products stood out in particular, 61.6 per cent voted for SCHUBERTH. This is the sixth time in a row that the serial winner from Magdeburg has achieved in excess of 60 per cent of the votes cast.
Just a week before winning the 13th “Best Brand” trophy, SCHUBERTH was also victorious in MOTORRAD’s major comparative helmet test for 2018 (issue 06/2018). After undergoing extensive practical and laboratory tests, the R2 full-face helmet with the integrated SC1 communication system prevailed against nine other competitors.
In 2018, SCHUBERTH is also adopting a pioneering approach to design. From this season onwards, 48 new finishes are available. Customers can now choose from a total of 115 finishes and colorful patterns. Nevertheless, technological advances continue to be of central importance. In the coming weeks, SCHUBERTH will be launching not one, but two innovative new products: With the R2 CARBON, SCHUBERTH is pushing the limits of technical possibility – it is the world’s first helmet to combine a carbon outer shell with an integrated communication system. And with the O1, the brand will be making a splash in the jet helmet segment. With its striking finishes – which were created by the KISKA design agency – the O1 redefines the concept of a jet helmet.
