November 8, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – California-based development company NUVIZ has developed the world’s first multimedia Head-Up Display for motorcycle riders. In collaboration with NUVIZ, the German helmet manufacturer SCHUBERTH will be offering the NUVIZ Head-Up Display (HUD) as of spring 2018 with a specially designed SCHUBERTH helmet mount. As a result, the HUD needs no cables and is easy to use with the SCHUBERTH C4 and R2 helmets.
Jan-Christian Becker, SCHUBERTH CEO, says: “SCHUBERTH stands for innovation and continuous development. We want to offer our customers the best solutions and the latest developments. For this reason, we are very proud to have NUVIZ as a partner, a company that offers the best and currently the only HUD for motorcycle riders worldwide. The HUD sits perfectly on our helmets and can be connected wireless with our SC1 communications system. This set up gives the rider complete freedom. We are absolutely delighted with the partnership and will be offering the Head-Up Displays with the helmet mount for our C4 and R2 helmets in 2018.“
Marcel Rogalla, CEO NUVIZ, adds: “We have been in talks with SCHUBERTH for a long time now and are pleased that, with the solution we have found, we have taken yet another step towards integrating our HUD solution in motorcycle helmets.“
The great benefit: the HUD is fully compatible with SCHUBERTH’s SC1 communications system – an integrated plug-and-play communications system from SENA, which is pre-installed in the SCHUBERTH C4 and R2 helmets as standard. This means maximum freedom when out on the road, since it enables all communications, such as phone calls or navigational information, to be presented directly on the Head-Up Display. In addition, SCHUBERTH will also be offering the HUD for its C3Pro and C3 helmets in conjunction with the SC10U communications system.
SCHUBERTH will be presenting helmets fitted with the NUVIZ Head-Up Display at the EICMA international motorcycle fair in Milan from 7 to 12 November. A member of the NUVIZ staff will be available to advise visitors to the fair on the SCHUBERTH stand in Hall 13 (Stand C71).
