INDIANAPOLIS, IN – June 2, 2022 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – NHRA has announced Right Trailers as the new title rights sponsor of the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern and Western Conference Finals.
The Eastern and Western Conference Finals serve as the final events for the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League. Nearly 1,000 kids compete for individual and team honors at the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Eastern and Western Conference Finals. Each winner will take home the NHRA Wally champion’s trophy as well as a share of the event purse. Tracks in NHRA’s Divisions 1, 2, and 3 will send teams to the Eastern Conference Finals, and tracks in Divisions 4, 5, 6, and 7 will compete at the Western Conference Finals.
The NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Western Conference Finals takes place at the famed Bandimere Speedway June 24-26, while the Eastern Conference Finals will take place July 14-15 at the scenic Bristol Dragway.
“Right Trailers values and admires the hard work and dedication that all the JDRL drivers and parents put into the sport,” said Right Trailers President Michael Scott. “The tens of hours a week in preparing for and traveling to the racetracks requires focus and LOTS of time. All these kids get to race in a safe and controlled environment and make some lifelong friendships along the way, and that we absolutely love. Our sponsorship of both the Eastern Conference Finals and Western Conference Finals is our way of saying, ‘Thank you parents, thank you drivers, thank you member tracks, and thank you to NHRA for showcasing the next generation of NHRA racers.’”
Celebrating its 31st season in 2022, the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League is a popular racing league for kids ages 5-17. Competitor’s race cars, which are called Jr. Dragsters, are half-scale versions of the iconic Top Fuel dragsters. They go as fast as 85 mph and as quick as 7.90 seconds in the eighth-mile using a five-horsepower, single-cylinder engine, though younger age groups are restricted to slower times and speeds.
“The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League has played such a vital role in ensuring the future of our sport,” said Brad Gerber, NHRA vice president and chief development officer. “We’re thrilled to welcome Right Trailers to the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League family. We look forward to watching these young racers pursue their passion for racing.”
Since its start in 1992, the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League has provided a place for young racers to compete and been the start for many top NHRA professional drivers. The list includes world champions like Pro Stock’s Erica Enders and Top Fuel driver Shawn Langdon, who won a JDRL national championship in 1997, as well standouts such as Top Fuel’s Leah Pruett; Funny Car driver J.R. Todd; Pro Stock competitors Deric Kramer Chris McGaha; Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Cory Reed and many more.
ABOUT RIGHT TRAILERS
In 2004 a college student and his father thought that buying a race car trailer would be simple. Instead, they found an industry filled with dealerships that lacked inventory, and salespeople that lacked product knowledge. There was only one solution; create a place where customers can work with a team of experienced experts that listen to their needs, and recommend the RIGHT trailer. So, starting with 3 enclosed trailers and 7 open trailers, Right Trailers was founded. Since then, we’ve made it our mission to change the way people buy trailers. Clearly, there have been a few changes since the early startup days. Today, Right Trailers has grown to include 4 locations, more than 1,000 trailers in inventory, and over 10,000 trailer parts.
As a family owned company, Right Trailers provides a balanced work-life and is supportive of time spent with family and friends. Socially responsible, knowledgeable, family oriented, and forward thinking, Right Trailers has provided world-class trailers to customers around the world and offered life-changing careers for nearly two decades. With name brand trailers from Bravo, ATC, Performax, Vintage, Haulmark, Cargo Mate, PJ, Big Tex, and others, Right Trailers is able to provide the Right Trailer, at the Right Price, just Right for you.
