New Pirelli ANGEL™ GT III: enhanced performance to redefine the Gran Turismo experience

Available from early 2027, the new ANGEL™ GT III radial Sport Touring tire retains Pirelli’s sporting DNA whilst offering even better handling, more consistent performance and improved wet-weather capabilities compared with its predecessors

ATLANTA, GA – November 5, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Pirelli introduces ANGEL™ GT III, the new radial Sport Touring tire that, compared with its predecessors, combines improved, easier handling with enhanced wet-weather capabilities and more consistent performance throughout its service life, whilst retaining Pirelli’s sporting DNA. Compared with other products in the ANGEL™ family, the ANGEL™ GT III rear tire is designed for enhanced durability and reduced rolling noise for improved comfort, thanks to a new tread pattern. It also features a high-contrast sidewall with the ANGEL™ symbol and Gran Turismo lettering.

ANGEL™ GT III builds on the legacy of the ANGEL™ family, which has helped raise the standards in the radial Sport Touring segment over the past fifteen years for motorcyclists seeking a balance of sporty performance, riding enjoyment and long-distance touring capability.

Available from early 2027, ANGEL™ GT III represents the fourth generation of the ANGEL™ family, which began with ANGEL™ ST and subsequently evolved with ANGEL™ GT and ANGEL™ GT II. The range has supported Pirelli’s steady expansion in the radial Sport Touring segment, one of the most important in the European market. Each generation has introduced technological and performance advances, earning growing recognition from riders and helping strengthen the brand’s presence in the segment.

Developed to meet the needs of modern mid- and large-displacement Sport Touring, Crossover, and Naked motorcycles, ANGEL™ GT III was designed around a clear objective: to deliver Pirelli’s interpretation of the Gran Turismo riding experience, with a high level of control, comfort, and riding enjoyment.

The new tire stands out first and foremost for its improvement in easier handling (soft handling), a characteristic riders in this category particularly value. Pirelli’s designers aimed to make the motorcycle feel more intuitive, smoother, and less demanding to ride, both in everyday use and on long journeys, while keeping the precision and responsiveness characteristic of the brand’s sporting DNA.

Pirelli also paid particular attention to wet performance, an area where it worked to further strengthen its market position. ANGEL™ GT III was designed to deliver a strong sense of confidence and control on wet roads and in low-grip conditions, further raising the standards already achieved by the previous generations.

Another key focus of the tire’s design was performance consistency throughout its service life. Thanks to extensive development, ANGEL™ GT III is designed to deliver more uniform, consistent dynamic characteristics over time, even as wear increases, allowing riders to maintain high levels of control and enjoyment.

Whilst improving comfort and ease of riding, ANGEL™ GT III remains true to Pirelli’s heritage and sporty DNA. Its focus on sport performance, steering precision, and support during more spirited riding reaffirms the tire’s distinctive character, letting riders enjoy a typical Pirelli experience, even over long distances.

Touring comfort has been further enhanced through dedicated work to reduce the rolling noise of the rear tire, an especially important consideration for those who use their motorcycles for touring and long-distance rides. The resulting reduction in riding fatigue contributes not only to the enjoyment of the journey but also to overall control.

Aesthetically, ANGEL™ GT III evolves the family’s visual identity whilst retaining its distinctive features. The new tread pattern revisits and reinterprets the signature graphic elements that have made the ANGEL™ range recognizable, creating a strong connection with its predecessors while clearly expressing an evolution in styling.

The tire also introduces a new high-contrast sidewall design, enhanced by the iconic ANGEL™ logo and Gran Turismo lettering, a direct reference to a concept deeply rooted in Italian motorcycling culture: traveling swiftly, comfortably and in style. ANGEL™ GT IIIauthentically embodies this philosophy, combining a sporting soul with a touring spirit in a tire designed to accompany riders on any road.

With ANGEL™ GT III, Pirelli opens a new chapter in its Sport Touring history, reaffirming its commitment to continued innovation and to raising the bar in the segment just as every generation of the ANGEL™ family has done since its debut.
