Gooding & Company 2014 Pagani Huayra

Highlights include one-off examples of the
Pagani Huayra and Porsche 918 Spyder

SANTA MONICA, CA – December 5, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  Gooding & Company, the auction house acclaimed for selling the world’s most significant and valuable collector cars, is pleased to announce an outstanding array of low-mileage supercars from Pagani, Porsche, McLaren, Lexus, Ferrari and Lamborghini that will be crossing the auction block at its annual two-day Scottsdale Auctions on January 19 and 20, 2018. These bespoke, top-of-the-line exotics offer the utmost in design, engineering, and performance from legendary marques.

“Each model represented here had a very limited production run and were sold out immediately after hitting the marketplace,” says David Gooding, President of Gooding & Company. “What truly sets these particular examples apart from other elite supercars are the individually tailored, special-order features, limited mileage, and well-documented history.”

Godding & Company - 2014 Pagani Huayra

2014 Pagani Huayra (Estimate: $2,200,000-$2,600,000)

The 2014 Pagani Huayra is one of the ultimate supercars ever produced. The follow-up to the legendary Pagani Zonda, this lightweight exotic is powered by an AMG twin-turbo V-12 engine, capable of speeds over 230 mph, and can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. As beautiful as it is fast, the Huayra is considered by many to be a contemporary masterpiece of automotive design and engineering, featuring intricate details and a handsomely finished interior. The car presented here is no. 87 of the 100 Huayras produced and is believed to be the only one in existence that was special-ordered in Carbonio Rosso, an exposed red carbon fiber body. This unique Huayra has traveled less than 1,000 miles and is presented with its original tools, manuals, and custom-order fitted luggage.

2014 Pagani Huayra (Estimate - $2,200,000 - $2,600,000)

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder (Estimate: $1,800,000-$2,200,000)

The Porsche 918 Spyder is about numbers, mind-blowing numbers. This supercar is capable of 214 mph, can sprint to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, produces 887 hp and 944 lbs./ft. of torque, and somehow manages to achieve 75 MPG from its hybrid powertrain. Due to all this performance technology, the 918 Spyder held the Nürburgring production car lap record for four years with a time of 6:57.00. Porsche offered just 918 examples of this flagship model and six months before the final car was built in June 2015, the 918 Spyder had sold out. The car presented here offers a stunning one-of-one color scheme of Guards Red over a Garnet interior, highlighted by optional carbon fiber and Porsche “special wishes” features. Even more surprising, this 918 Spyder has traveled less than 100 miles since new and is offered with its original delivery accessories.

Godding & Company - 2015 McLaren P1 (Estimate $1,800,000 - $2,200,000)

2015 McLaren P1 (Estimate: $1,800,000-$2,200,000)

McLaren set out to build the best driver’s car in the world when it began development on the flagship P1. The company wanted to infuse Formula 1 technology with everyday usability. McLaren designed a new hybrid powertrain; it did not alternate between gas and electric power, but sought to minimize the inefficiencies in the gas motor. McLaren also pursued a beautifully sculpted design that followed the philosophy of form shaped by function. Inspired by efficient forms found in marine life and utilizing aerodynamics from McLaren’s Formula 1 cars, the P1 established a new design language for the company’s product range moving forward. The bespoke P1 presented here is one of only 375 examples built, is finished in a striking Special Carbon Black livery, and has traveled less than 1,700 miles since new, making this a special opportunity to acquire a low-mile example.

Godding & Company - 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package (Estimate $900,000 - $1,200,000)

2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package (Estimate: $900,000-$1,200,000)

Lexus’ first supercar, the LFA, was the product of almost a decade of development and engineering. Using state-of-the-art materials and an engine derived from Formula 1 racing, the Lexus LFA is blisteringly fast: it can hit a top speed of 202 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. The LFA is not only a driver-focused car, but also offers all the comforts of a modern luxury grand tourer. Lexus produced only 500 LFA models, and the supercar presented here is no. 498. In addition, this example is one of only 50 examples equipped with the Nürburgring Package, a track-focused option that delivers an increase in engine power, a recalibrated transmission for quicker shift points, and a revised racetrack-inspired sport suspension. This brilliant exotic, finished in Whitest White with attractive red and white upholstery, has less than 60 miles from new and may be the only remaining delivery-mile example in existence.

Additional Supercars Include:

  • 2004 Porsche Carrera GT (Estimate: $650,000-$800,000)
    • Delivered new to actor and comedian Tim Allen
