The World’s Largest Collector Car Auction®
WALWORTH, WI – August 13, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Coming off a record-setting Kissimmee event in 2026 with $450 million in total sales, marking the fifth straight year the annual event has surpassed $200 million, Mecum Auctions is already building toward January 2027. This week at Mecum Monterey, the company is offering an early glimpse of what’s ahead, with eight standout automobiles on display representing the caliber of consignments already confirmed for The World’s Largest Collector Car Auction®. The Monterey display marks the first of many announcements to come, with excitement building toward Kissimmee 2027.

1956 Chevrolet Corvette SR-1
The prominent Monterey display offers a glimpse of the consignments already confirmed for Kissimmee 2027, spanning some of the most significant names and eras of collector cars. Among them is an exceptionally rare 1956 Chevrolet Corvette SR-1, one of just two known to exist, joined by two remarkably original Shelby competition cars: a 1965 Shelby 427 Factory Competition Cobra and a 1965 Shelby GT350 “R” Model. European standouts include the one-of-a-kind 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Gangloff Coupé and a 1955 Ferrari Europa GT Speciale , while a 2004 Porsche Carrera GT and 2025 Bugatti Mistral represent the modern era. Also on display is the legendary 1970 Chevrolet Corvette Baldwin-Motion Maco Shark Coupe, representing the Dan McMichael’s Baldwin-Motion Collection that will be offered at Kissimmee as a headlining attraction. The Brian Lang Road Art Collection adds another dimension to the early announcements, with much more still to come as the Kissimmee 2027 lineup continues to take shape.

1965 Shelby GT350 “R” Model Fastback
Mecum Auctions also revealed early standouts of its upcoming 36th Annual Vintage and Antique Motorcycle Auction, including the renowned Sinless Motorcycle Collection, featuring a 1958 Vincent Black Lightning and a 1937 Brough Superior MX100. Joining the Sinless Cycles in the lineup at Mecum’s February event is an unrestored 1914 Flying Merkel, still accompanied by a slate of original Wisconsin registrations from as early as 1916.
