Mecum Returns for 17th Year During Monterey Car Week With 600 Collector Vehicles and 50 Motorcycles

Exceptional lineup to cross the block at Mecum’s 2026 Monterey auction this August 13-15

WALWORTH, WI – August 11, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Mecum Auctions returns to Monterey Car Week for its 17th year hosting Mecum Monterey , which will take place Aug. 13-15 at Del Monte Golf Course. Mecum will once again bring a diverse cross-section of the collector vehicle world to the heart of Monterey Car Week, with the three-day auction to feature an impressive selection of approximately 600 automobiles and 50 motorcycles that span prewar classics, European sports cars, American icons, modern supercars and historic competition machinery. The auction will be broadcast live on ESPN+ on Friday and Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. ET, and the Live Block Cam will stream the entire auction on Mecum.com. Ahead of the auction will be the Live Preview show on Mecum TV hosted by Mecum’s broadcast team as they give an inside look at what will be crossing the auction block.

Among the highlights of this year’s event is a selection of significant Ferraris, prewar classics and highly collectible modern supercars. A pair of Ferrari icons elevate the Monterey lineup, led by a 1996 Ferrari F50, chassis No. 106690, that’s one of just 31 examples finished in Giallo Modena and No. 239 of 349 F50s produced in all. Its auction-bound counterpart is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso , chassis No. 4635, the 79th of just 350 examples produced between 1962 and 1964. Renowned for its elegant Pininfarina styling and exceptional grand touring character, the Lusso represents one of Ferrari’s most celebrated road-going designs of the 1960s.

Also commanding attention is a 1933 Duesenberg Model J Disappearing-Top Convertible Coupe, featuring its original chassis, engine and bodywork. As one of America’s most prestigious prewar automobiles, the Model J exemplifies the craftsmanship, engineering and bespoke coachwork that established Duesenberg as an icon of the classic era. From the European front and representing the pinnacle of Gemballa’s bespoke Porsche conversions is the 2004 Gemballa Mirage GT , chassis No. 24 of 25 and the final bespoke Mirage GT completed in sequence by Gemballa.

The Mecum Monterey motorcycle lineup is headlined by two significant Ducatis, including a 1972 Ducati 750 Imola Racer, one of just seven examples sent by Ducati to the 1972 Imola 200, and a 1974 Ducati 750SS Green Frame that’s one of just 401 produced and retains its original paint. Powered by Ducati’s iconic 748cc L-twin engine, the 750SS is among the marque’s most sought-after motorcycles, while the Imola Racer represents an important piece of Ducati’s competition history.

Adding further depth to the Monterey roster are six exceptional collections, including From The Milton Verret Collection, led by a pair of 2026 Aston Martin Valhallas and a 2014 McLaren P1 HDK, complemented by a pair of Brabus Porsche Turbo S 900Rs and a low-mileage Porsche Carrera GT, to name a few. The Tricolore Scuderia Collection showcases a desirable stable of modern Ferraris spanning 2001 to 2023, highlighted by a trio of examples finished in bianco with Italian tricolore livery, including a pair of 458 Speciales and an F12tdf. Rounding out the featured collections is The John Davis “Too Much Fun” Collection, an eclectic, competition-focused group that ranges from the Indy 500-raced 1957 Kuzma Offenhauser Indy Car to NASCAR stock cars and Lola T616 Mazda racers.
