STURGIS, SD – July 31, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Two distinct groups of women motorcyclists are riding across the country in advance of the 86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, culminating in a shared celebration at Pearl’s Jam, the annual all-day women’s event at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame.
WHAT:
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum will host two inspirational long-distance rides that highlight female empowerment, history, and community on two and three wheels:
- Women Riders World Relay (WRWR): Co-founder Liza Miller and long-distance rider Wendy Crockett are leading a 13,000-plus mile, coast-to-coast journey. Dozens of women and riding partners are joining for single days or full legs, attempting a world-record GPS route spelling “WRWR 2026” across the U.S. to connect and challenge women riders.
- Shantell’s Sisterhood Ride to Sturgis: Founded by rider and entrepreneur Shantell Williams, a diverse group of women is traveling backroads from Florida to Sturgis. The purposeful journey honors legendary rider Bessie Stringfield, the “Motorcycle Queen of Miami,” ahead of her induction into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame. The ride also marks Williams’ return to cross-country riding following her recovery from a serious crash.

Both rides arrive in Sturgis to anchor Pearl’s Jam, an all-day festival on Monday, August 10, 2026, celebrating women in motorcycling with presentations throughout the day, book signings, moto celebrity visits, a group photo and a celebration of the Museum’s 25th Anniversary.
