Any UTV Driver to Defeat the Four RZR Factory Racing Team Vehicles & Win The UTV Overall at the SCORE Baja 400 Will Earn $50,000
Purse Carries Over to Baja 1000 if Prize is Unclaimed at Baja 400
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – July 21, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Polaris Off-Road Vehicles and the RZR Factory Racing team are introducing the Polaris SCORE Challenge, a first-of-its kind incentive program aimed at rewarding participation in SCORE International UTV racing. The initiative offers a $50,000 purse to any UTV racer – regardless of manufacturer – who defeats the RZR Factory Racing team for the Overall UTV victory at the Baja 400. If the purse goes unclaimed, the challenge will carry over to the Baja 1000, giving competitors another opportunity to claim the prize.
The SCORE Challenge comes as the RZR Factory Racing team has elevated the Pro UTV class into one of the fastest and most competitive categories in desert racing. By putting Brock Heger, Cayden MacCachren, Ethan Groom and Joe Terrana squarely in the crosshairs, the challenge positions RZR Factory Racing as the target for the entire field.
“The goal of the SCORE Challenge is to reward top racers for racing Baja and create even more opportunities for head-to-head competition at the highest level,” said Alex Scheuerell, Polaris’ Director of Off-Road Motorsports. “When the best teams and drivers compete, everyone benefits—the sport grows, the competition gets stronger, and the fans get the racing they want to see.
Just as Polaris continues to push the industry forward through vehicle innovation, the SCORE Challenge advances the sport on the racecourse by creating new rivalries and compelling storylines for racers, teams, manufacturers and fans alike.
“Off-road racing has always been about proving yourself in the toughest terrain against the best drivers in the world,” said Reid Wilson, President of Off-Road Vehicles. “Since the inception of the RZR Factory Racing team, we’ve consistently proven ourselves as the benchmark in SCORE competition, and that dominance is exactly what inspired the SCORE Challenge. This initiative isn’t just about our team winning, it’s about creating an incentive for the entire field. If you think you’ve got what it takes to beat us, come line up and let’s go racing.”
With the challenge set, the Baja 400, taking place September 9-13, will mark the first opportunity for the industry’s top competitors to take on RZR Factory Racing and claim the sport’s newest high-stakes prize.
