- Morgan Lesiardo takes 2nd in the Enduro 1 class
- Lesiardo’s result helps secure victory for Team Italy
- Leo Joyon & Mikael Persson contribute to Team France and Team Sweden podium finishes
ATLANTA, GA – October 19, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Triumph Racing has completed a positive 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations in Grândola, Portugal finishing with Morgan Lesiardo taking second in Enduro1 and victory in the World Trophy as part of Team Italy, while Triumph 250-E racers Leo Joyon and Mikael Persson contributed to Team France and Team Sweden’s podium finishes.
The 100th edition of the ultra-special 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations, where riders compete for their countries as well as themselves, provided an exciting week of action in the Portuguese countryside. With dusty, hot conditions making for difficult visibility and intense racing, Triumph racers valiantly put on consistently strong performances in their individual teams to result in victory and podiums for Team Italy, Team France and Team Sweden.
Triumph Italia Racing’s Morgan Lesiardo enjoyed another outstanding event. The Italian-ace was confident going into this year’s 6DAYS having finished as vice-champion in the FIM Enduro1 World Championship this season, winning the Italian Enduro1 championship, and having been in the winning World Trophy team just one year ago. Lesiardo took fifth in the overall standings and second in E1 after six days of competition. Morgan and the TF 250-E was instrumental in helping Team Italy once again lift the coveted teams’ World Trophy for a second consecutive year following Saturday’s beach race.
Triumph Factory Racing’s Leo Joyon, who finished as vice-champion in Junior and Junior1 in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, stepped up into the World Trophy category for Team France aboard his TF 250-E. With a top result of 10th on the opening day, and a consistent performance throughout, Joyon, who finished 15th individually overall and sixth in E1, helped France to second overall on the podium. Teammate Mikael Persson, who returned to racing after a season-long hiatus due to injury, finished 22nd overall and eighth in E1, despite a lack of bike time in the lead up to the event. Persson’s Team Sweden proudly took a podium third in the World Trophy.
Triumph is the only manufacturer to have a motorcycle in every team on the World Trophy podium in this year’s edition of the 6DAYS.
Other notable performances include Junior World Trophy’s William Dennett competing for Team Australia aboard the Triumph 450-E, who finished ninth. Australia just missed out on the podium by a handful of minutes to take fourth in JWT. In the Women’s World Trophy Shelby Turner took a top 10 aboard her TF 250-E for Team Canada, who finished sixth overall, while Triumph’s own Charlotte Knight, who works at the factory in Hinckley, UK, finished 21st to help Team New Zealand to fourth in the standings.
Attentions now turn to the off-season in readiness for the start of FIM EnduroGP World Championship 2027, which is scheduled to begin in Spain on April 2-4. The 2027 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations will take place Triumph’s home soil in Wales, Great Britain, on 13-18 September.
Morgan Lesiardo
“We finally did it after a hard week in all the dust and with all the conditions we had! Back-to-back champions with Team Italy and a good fifth overall in the individual for me. I can’t ask for better result! Thanks to my Triumph TF 250-E to bring me to the end of this really hard six days and all of the work from everyone involved. Thanks to my teammates for the week, for the race and a huge congratulations to them. This is a really special success and I am very proud. I’m looking forward to celebrating and then beginning preparations for next year.”
Leo Joyon
“We’ve just finished the final motocross and, honestly, I really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun and I’m happy with my riding today, as well as the rest of the week. I finished second overall with Team France, which is a great result, so I’m really pleased with how the 6DAYS has gone. Now it’s time to focus on the final round of the French championship, and then it’s on to next year.”
Mikael Persson
“The 6DAYS has come to an end here on the beach. It wasn’t the best finish for me as I crashed just after the start. We fought all the way to the end and came away with a good result overall. I’m happy with what Team Sweden achieved here at the 6DAYS and for me to come back from injury and finish this event on the podium is amazing.”
Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles
“The completion of 6DAYS brings the outdoor enduro season to a close and to have three riders competing on Triumph machinery on the overall World Trophy podium is really great for us. For Triumph Factory Racing, Leo and Mikael both achieved a lot this year. Leo stepped up for Team France following an excellent EnduroGP campaign in the junior classes, while Mikael missed the whole season and returned for arguably one of the toughest races on the calendar. I’m really proud of both of them. Looking beyond the factory team, Morgan Lesiardo once again stood on top of the World Trophy podium for the second year running – another excellent performance for the Italian. It’s also great to see competitors in the junior and women’s category having good success, and we look forward to seeing more Triumph’s competing in the future. Overall, it’s been another positive season of racing and we now look forward to 2027 with excitement as the 6DAYS will take place on British soil in Wales.”
