NHRA Pro Mod Series set for 11 races in 2026 with Added Race at Summit Motorsports Park

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – October 23, 2025 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – NHRA officials announced an additional race in the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series for the upcoming 2026 season, pushing the season total to 11 events for the year with a stop at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

The fan-favorite category will be part of the epic weekend at “America’s Racetrack,” joining a loaded lineup for the 20th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals on June 25-28.

Norwalk has long been a traditional stop for the Pro Mod category and next year’s race at the standout facility will also kick off the “Road to the Championship” playoffs in the class. After six regular-season events, the five-race playoff race will begin at Summit Motorsports Park next June.

The 11-race NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series opens the season at the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville on March 5-8, finishing at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

The final race of the current 2025 season is set for next week in Las Vegas, with an epic showdown set for the finale. Billy Banaka is the current points leader as he seeks his first NHRA Pro Mod world championship, while Michael Stavrinos and Derek Menholt are 11 and 16 points back, respectively. J.R. Gray is 24 points behind in fourth.
