Bugatti Chiron Leads Bonhams|Cars Audrain Auction selling for $5.7 Million

NEWPORT, RI – October 6, 2025 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – The Bonhams|Cars Audrain Auction, held October 3 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, achieved a total of $10.3 million with a sell-through rate of 85% across 47 lots. The annual sale drew an enthusiastic audience as spirited bidding created a lively atmosphere throughout the auction. 

The Audrain Auction followed on the heels of the record-breaking Quail Auction in Carmel, California, which realized $44.7 million in August with a 96% sell-through rate, headlined by the $8.6 million world-record Bugatti Divo.  

Leading this sale was the 2022 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ Coupe, which realized $5,725,000. Widely regarded as the fastest hyper sports car Bugatti has ever produced, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ is one of only 30 examples built and represents the marque’s final purely petrol-powered supercar. This was just the second time the model has been publicly offered at auction in the U.S., making it one of the most significant results of the event.

Demonstrating Bonhams|Cars’ expertise across eras, the 1909 Rolls-Royce 40/50hp Silver Ghost Roi des Belges Tourer achieved $621,000. The award-winning ‘parallel bonnet’ Silver Ghost is among the finest surviving examples of the model that established Rolls-Royce as a household name. Restored by marque experts, it earned top honors including Best Silver Ghost and Quietest Silver Ghost at the 2024 Rolls-Royce Owners Club National Meet, along with multiple Best of Show awards at premier concours events throughout New England.
