INDIANAPOLIS, IN – August 30, 2023 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Dallas Glenn came close winning the world’s biggest drag race a year ago, advancing to the final round at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. But he went red by a mere .002 as Greg Anderson won the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals to earn his 100th career win.

Glenn is ready for redemption this weekend at The Big Go, looking to pick up his first victory on drag racing’s grandest stage at the 69th annual Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals. The points leader has enjoyed a tremendous 2023 campaign in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, winning four times in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro, including the most recent race in Brainerd.

He’ll look to keep rolling in Indy and take momentum into the Countdown to the Championship by winning the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, which is the richest drag race in history with a combined payout of more than $2 million in cash and posted contingency awards.

“I came really close last year. I ran Greg in the final and I feel like I just rushed my staging procedure a little bit and went .002 red,” Glenn said. “Everyone tries to bring their ‘A’ game to Indy and run their best stuff. It’s kind of a preview of what’s to come in the Countdown. Everybody really wants to win Indy. It’s a big one and I’m glad I get to be in another Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. I really want to bring that trophy back home with me. Indy is always tough and it’s definitely a grind that brings out the best in all the competitors.”

Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Ron Capps (Funny Car), Anderson (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all won the 2022 Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals. This year’s race will be broadcast on the FOX broadcast network and Fox Sports 1 (FS1), including eliminations coverage starting at 12 p.m. ET on Monday on FS1 and continuing at 2 p.m. on FOX. The event also features the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Type A Motorsports and Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown. Plus, fans can enjoy a host of specialty events, including the Pep Boys NHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout, the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge, the Dodge HEMI Challenge, the Rooftec NHRA Competition Eliminator Cash Clash and more.

Glenn will be part of the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge on Saturday, taking on Aaron Stanfield. The other matchup features Deric Kramer and Kyle Koretsky, and Glenn is currently tied with Troy Coughlin Jr. for the most bonus points in the specialty race in Pro Stock. Another win in the bonus race would add to Glenn’s success this year, putting him in a position to double-up at the biggest race weekend of the year.

“I feel like the sky is the limit,” Glenn said. “When you’ve got a car this good, you don’t have to be .00 on the starting line every time. I just need to go out there and make good, consistent runs. It’s going to be one heck of a battle the rest of the way. Going into the Countdown, I know I’m going to have to do my job.”

Brown is after a second straight Top Fuel win, competing against a loaded lineup that features points leader Justin Ashley, Steve Torrence and defending world champion Brittany Force.

Capps won the world’s biggest drag race for the first time in 2022 en route to his second straight world title. He’ll look to repeat, heading to Indy as the points leader and taking on the likes of Robert Hight, John Force and Bob Tasca III.

Smith’s second Pro Stock Motorcycle win at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals, but he’s chasing points leader Gaige Herrera, who has had a dominant 2023 season thus far.

Off the track, there’s plenty for fans to enjoy, including the Nitro Alley Stage, which creates a festive atmosphere at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals. Autograph sessions will take place throughout the event and fans can participate in the SealMaster Track Walk during pre-race ceremonies on championship Monday. As always, all fans get a pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled attraction in motorsports.

NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series qualifying at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals will feature one round at 5:45 p.m. ET on Friday, two rounds on Saturday at 2:15 and 5:45 p.m. and the final two rounds on Sunday at 12:15 and 3:45 p.m. Final eliminations are scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Monday.
