1957 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ by Zagato For many, the 250 GT ‘Tour de France’ is one of the most iconic and desirable of all 1950s GT Ferraris, whilst the Zagato-bodied cars are the rarest and most desirable of all. Boasting incredible period racing history, including 2nd in class and 6th overall at the 1957 Mille Miglia, its total of ten podium finishes and five class victories in more than a dozen period races serves to juxtapose its coachbuilt beauty with its sheer performance. Chassis 0665 GT has undergone a Pebble Beach award-winning restoration carried out to original specification and is offered as a fully matching-numbers example. In the development of the mere five examples that Carrozzeria Zagato created, it is argued by many that these cars rate as among the most beautiful Ferraris in existence. Add to this the fact that chassis 0665 GT was the final example of the initial trio to feature the firm’s iconic double-bubble roofline and that makes this chassis one of the most revered of all Prancing Horses. Having passed through the hands of a series of eminent custodians, the car has won various awards, including the Strother MacMinn Most Elegant Sports Car Award at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This very special 1957 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ offers a unique opportunity for serious collectors and would be the highlight of any collection.

The 1957 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ by Zagato will open for bidding on the Sotheby’s Sealed platform from 16 August, 11 a.m. PDT to 19 August, 11 a.m. PDT.

230728 EX-SCHUMACHER 2002 FERRARI F2001B[2] 230728 EX-SCHUMACHER 2002 FERRARI F2001B[1]

2002 Ferrari F2001b Amongst the most desirable of any modern-era grand prix cars in existence, chassis 215 played a significant role in the early days of the 2002 Formula 1 World Championship. Campaigned by Michael Schumacher in his historic fifth Championship-winning season, it boasts a 1st-place finish at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix and 3rd at the 2002 Malaysian Grand Prix, after qualifying on pole. Having pitted on the first lap in Malaysia, Schumacher fought back from 21st place to finish third, a truly exceptional effort from a fantastic driver. The previous season, the factory had been developing the F2002, but it proved to be hindered by issues, which led the team tochoose to continue with the use of the previous season’s highly reliable F2001 car, incorporating various upgrades from the 2002. Therefore, the F2001b was the combination of the brilliant Gilles Simon-designed Tipo 050 V-10 engine and sequential electro-hydraulic seven-speed gearbox, along with several innovations from the upcoming F2002. Following its success on the track, it then passed through the hands of a Swiss collector before entering the collection of the consignor. Chassis 215 is one of very few machines to never finish outside the podium positions during its competition career, and this presents an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire an iconic machine of the modern formula one era.

The 2002 Ferrari F2001b will open for bidding on the Sotheby’s Sealed platform from 16 August, 12 p.m. PDT to 19 August, 12 p.m. PDT.
