Headlined by a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, one of just 32 built, the car boasts period race history at Le Mans and benefits from a comprehensive restoration to original specifications by Ferrari Classiche (Estimate: $18,000,000 – $20,000,000). RM Sotheby’s is proud to continue the tradition of offering the finest motor cars on the Monterey Peninsula, and to formally announce that all Monterey 2023 lots are now live on rmsothebys.com. 

Additional highlights include a five-time 24 Hours of Le Mans entrant: a 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello Prodrive. This special Ferrari is finished in its 2004 Le Mans livery, which saw team drivers Darren Turner, Rickard Rydell, and renowned World Rally Champion Colin McRae secure an impressive GTS class podium finish. The third of only ten Ferrari 550 Maranello Prodrives raced under the Care Racing Development team, its direct acquisition from Ferrari by Frédéric Dor, the founder of Care Racing Development, adds to its historical pedigree. This Ferrari Classiche-certified example comes with an extensive spares package, including the V-12 engine used during its 2004 Le Mans race (Estimate: $8,000,000 – $9,500,000).

Other offerings set to cross the block include a 1956 Porsche 550A Prototype ‘Le Mans’ Werks Coupe (Estimate: $5,500,000 – $7,500,000), the sole surviving example of Wilhelm Hild and Erwin Komenda’s streamlined “fastback roof” design and one of the most significant Porsche factory-competition cars with a 1st in class and 5th overall finish at the 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans; a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 ‘Del Rio’ (Estimate: $4,000,000 – $5,000,000)representing a rare factory configuration with a paint-to-sample finish, making it one of the most significant road-going 275 examples in existence; and a Ferrari Classiche-certified 1959 Ferrari 410 Superamerica Coupe Series III by Pinin Farina (Estimate: $5,750,000 – $6,750,000), the fourth of 12 Series III examples built, and one of only seven cars factory-equipped with covered headlights, and the only covered-headlight example delivered new in Nero Tropicale IVI.
