LAS VEGAS, NV – February 8, 2022 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – RawHyde Adventures, the nation’s premier adventure motorcycle training & tour organization, celebrates its 20th year serving the adventure motorcycle community in 2022. Since its inception in 2002, RawHyde has trained nearly 20,000 motorcyclists to become more proficient and confident in their riding skills, and has led hundreds of guided adventure tours worldwide.

“2022 is a milestone year for us,” explained RawHyde Adventures founder, Jim Hyde. “It’s not easy to stay in business for two decades, especially through an historic financial crisis and a global pandemic. But we have survived and thrived because we are dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for our customers. Everything we do is with the adventure rider in mind, from acquiring land and developing new training elements to building new facilities and expanding our training and tour offerings.

Jim Hyde founded RawHyde Adventures in the spring of 2002, initially offering an 8-day dual sport tour from Los Angeles to Las Vegas that covered nearly a thousand miles of unpaved trails and roads. In 2004 a training element was added to the mix with RawHyde’s acclaimed “Adventure Camp” at their Southern California property, which quickly became the #1 enduro training program in the country.

2005 marked RawHyde’s first international adventure tour with a trip to the famed Baja Peninsula and into mainland Mexico’s legendary Copper Canyon. By 2007 the training program had evolved to include intermediate and advanced curricula. In 2008 RawHyde Adventures was officially endorsed by BMW Motorrad North America to become an Official BMW Training Center, a partnership that continues today.

In 2012, RawHyde expanded their operations outside of the state of California with a 40-acre purchase outside of Hartsel, Colorado. This allowed RawHyde to escape the hot Southern California summer and offer their training courses in the cooler climate of the Colorado Rockies. Additional land was purchased in 2017 and again in 2021 to bring RawHyde’s Colorado holdings to 120 contiguous acres, allowing RawHyde to turn this property into a truly purpose-built training course dedicated solely to adventure riders. And in 2022, RawHyde Colorado will receive yet another facelift with the construction of a new lodge which will house training camp participants.

RawHyde expanded its holdings in the state of California as well, acquiring a 100-acre property in California City, California in 2017. Sitting on the edge of the famous Mojave Desert, this property was transformed into the Zakar Terrain Park and Event Center. Zakar features onsite accommodations, a commercial kitchen and a professionally designed overland terrain park, making this facility ideal for off-road OEMs and aftermarket companies to host product testing, media events, corporate retreats, and more. Indeed, in late 2021, Zakar was announced as the site of the Vance & Hines Off-Road Proving Grounds, with the exhaust manufacturer using the facility and surrounding land to develop and test their off-road products.
