ALBION, NY – January 7, 2020 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Dave and Rhonda Waters, of Waters Autobody Racing, are excited to announce that they have enlisted local motorcycle racing phenom Ryan Wells to charge into the 2020 race season and make a run for the American Flat Track Singles Championship. The relationship is a renewed collaboration from 2014 when “Flyin’ Ryan” previously commanded Waters’ KTM 450 steel steeds to a close chase to the number one spot.
The Waters team had great results in 2019 and is looking to improve on the teams overall finish for the AFT season. After speaking with Wells, the 2016 GNC2 Championship winner, the team felt it had everything in place to capture the #1 plate.
“Ryan has the skill level to race and earn podium finishes at all the tracks on the 2020 schedule,” said Rhonda Waters, Team Owner of Waters Autobody Racing. “We’ve known him for years and have watched him grow and develop. It just feels right so we are jumping in and looking forward to his run for the Championship.”
“I am very excited to be back with Waters Autobody Racing for another season,” said Wells. “We have always had a great relationship so being able to team up to chase down the AFT Singles Championship is going to be awesome. I can’t wait to get back on a KTM and start getting prepared to have a great 2020.”
Ryan will also compete in the Production Twins class when the schedule allows on our Yamaha 750’s. Making things even more exciting. “This year is going to be a full blown effort and we would like to highlight our corner of the country and all it has to offer, especially with the July 3rd and 4th Weedsport, NY races being so close to us,” said Rhonda Waters. “We would like to thank all our supporters for the last ten years and are looking forward to forming some very exciting partnerships going forward.”
