Seventh round of 2019 AMA Vintage Flat Track National Championship Series takes place at Ashland County Fairgrounds on July 6
PICKERINGTON, OH – June 17, 2019 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Fans of flat track racing will enjoy the national championship-caliber vintage competition at the Ashland County (Ohio) Fairgrounds during 2019 Honda AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days presented by Avon Tyres on July 6.
Round 7 of the 2019 AMA Vintage Flat Track National Championship Series kicks off at 6 p.m. on the half-mile track, which is a short ride from the swap meet, bike shows and other events taking place at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
“The flat track racing at Ashland County Fairgrounds offers those attending AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days a chance to take in some of the best vintage motorcycle competition in the nation,” AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant said. “The Ashland track has been the scene of countless battles between racers pushing yesteryear’s flat track machines to their limits. We encourage everyone to take the short trip to Ashland, Ohio, to check out the stellar racing.”
The flat track races are operated by AMA-chartered promoter Steve Nace Racing Promotions. Admission to this event is not included with tickets to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days.
As an annual tradition, the Ashland Dinner Ride will offer motorcyclists a scenic 40-mile cruise from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, to the historic half-mile flat track in Ashland, Ohio, to watch the racing action. For a $45 donation ($40 before June 30) to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, participants in the ride will enjoy dinner at the track and then settle into reserved grandstand seats to relish the vintage flat track races. Dinner ride participants also receive a pit pass to get a close-up look at the teams and racers.

Honda AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days presented by Avon Tyres will not only celebrate the 50th anniversary of Honda’s legendary 1969 CB750, but also the 40th anniversary of the six-cylinder CBX and the 60th anniversary of American Honda Motor Co. Inc.
Three-time AMA Grand National Champion and AMA Superbike Champion Bubba Shobert will be grand marshal of the event. Shobert is a longtime factory Honda rider and one of the winningest racers in professional motorcycle competition.
Honda AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days presented by Avon Tyres, welcomes riders and racers of all brands to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. All activity at the event financially supports the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises money for the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
The event will include vintage competition in road racing, motocross, hare scrambles and trials at Mid-Ohio. Riders in these disciplines are racing for national championships or national championship series points. In addition, the Biltwell Pit Bike Races, the Biltwell Holeshot Challenge and the Biltwell Off-Road Poker Run will also be held.
Vendors from all areas of motorcycling will be present, selling gear and services for motorcycles old and new. Vendors include vintage and modern gear sellers, parts and tools dealers, community garages and much more.
Motorcycling experts will speak on numerous topics, including motorcycle restoration and travel. Speakers this year include three AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famers — Scot Harden, Mary McGee and Peter Starr. And AMA staff members will conduct a panel discussion on important legislation affecting riders.
Tickets are available for purchase online at www.midohio.com/tickets/1/vintage-motorcycle-days-ama or at the gate during the event. A weekend pass is $60, a single-day admission for Friday or Saturday is $40 and a single-day admission for Sunday is $35. Kids 12 and younger get in free.
