World Superbike Commentator To Start At Road America
COSTA MESA, CA – May 14, 2019 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – MotoAmerica has announced that Michael Hill, the noted World Superbike Paddock Show host and coordinator, will headline the MotoAmerica Live+ coverage of the Road America, Sonoma Raceway and Pittsburgh International Race Complex rounds of the 2019 MotoAmerica Series.
Michael Hill chats with a panel consisting of Kenny Roberts Jr., Kenny Roberts and Wayne Rainey last year at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Hill will host MotoAmerica Live+ streaming from three events in 2019.
MotoAmerica fans who have attended the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca rounds of the series recently are probably familiar with Hill as the host of the Paddock Show, which features interviews with the stars of the series, special announcements, press conferences and in-depth live commentary of the on-track action. Hill will be the perfect fit to fill-in for MotoAmerica Live+ host Jonathan Green, who can’t attend the Road America, Sonoma Raceway and Pitt Race rounds due to prior commitments.
“I’ve followed American road racing since I was a kid and followed it even more closely since MotoAmerica began,” Hill said. “I’ve been fortunate enough to meet most of the riders competing across all MotoAmerica classes and had the pleasure of inviting many of them onto the Paddock Show stage when they race alongside World Superbike at Laguna Seca. There are some great characters and the racing continues to get better and better. Thanks to Chuck (Aksland) and Wayne (Rainey) for inviting me and thanks to whoever organized the calendars to ensure there were no clashes.”
“We got to know Michael through his work with the Paddock Show at Laguna,” MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey said. “He does a great job with that and we’ve also been impressed with his knowledge of our series and of our racers. He’s the ideal choice to fill in for Jonathan (Green) at three of our most popular rounds.”
MotoAmerica Live+ is the live and on-demand streaming service of the MotoAmerica Series that features live coverage of all five classes – EBC Brakes Superbike, Supersport, Liqui Moly Junior Cup, Twins Cup and Stock 1000. For more information on MotoAmerica Live+, visit www.motoamericaliveplus.com
