2019 Scrambler Models including Desert Sled, Café Racer,
Full Throttle and Icon in Stores Now
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – December 13, 2018 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Riders wishing to unwrap a new Scrambler Ducati 800 this holiday season will have the opportunity starting this week, as the 2019 Scrambler family has arrived early to U.S. dealerships just in time for the holidays. The updated motorcycles offer a variety of design, safety, performance and convenience enhancements to the massively successful Scrambler lineup so that riders can enjoy more than ever the safe, simple fun of two wheels.
“The new versions of the Scrambler Ducati family build on the spirit that have made the Scrambler a success with best-in-class improvements,” said Jason Chinnock, CEO of Ducati North America. “Ranging from the Café Racer to ride through city streets and the hooligan-inspired Full Thottle to the off-road capable Desert Sled, these models will help both new and experienced riders kick off 2019 right with their focus on the joy of riding.”
Motorcyclists will appreciate the comprehensive new features on Scrambler Ducati’s 800cc lineup of the Scrambler Desert Sled, Scrambler Icon, Scrambler Full Throttle and Scrambler Café Racer, including an all-new headlight with daytime running light to boost bike visibility in traffic during daylight hours. New auto-off LED indicators, softer-feel haudraulic clutch and easier-to-navigate LCD instrument menu, which now includes fuel level info and gear position indicator, add to the rider comforts.
The Scrambler’s wide handlebars, new flat seat and renewed suspension set-up merge to provide a more relaxed riding position whether on or off-road. Bosch Cornering ABS now comes standard on all Scrambler 800 models to maximize safety during braking while cornering; the only motorcycles in their class with such leading safety technology. Also new for 2019, the new Scramblers offer an optional Ducati Multimedia System to let riders listen to their favorite music, answer incoming calls or chat with the passenger on the intercom.
It’s never been easier to start riding on a Scrambler Ducati. Ducati’s New Rider Program is now available to encourage those thinking about a two wheeled lifestyle to get behind the handlebars. Ducati will reimburse $250 toward a rider’s Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course or state authorized rider education course with the purchase of an eligible Ducati or Scrambler motorcycle.
The new Scrambler Icon starts at $9,395 and the Scrambler Full Throttle starts at $10,995, while the Scrambler Desert Sled and Scrambler Café Racer both start at $11,995. With the Ducati Premier financing program available from Ducati Financial Services, one can ride away on a new Scrambler for monthly payments as low as $120 per month. Riders interested in heading into 2019 on a new Scrambler can visit their participating Ducati dealership starting this Friday, December 14th.
