Manpower First Win of 2018
LOCKPORT, LA – March 5, 2018 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – NHRA South Central Division Chase kicked off this past weekend at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA and Steve Collier of Collier Family Racing drove his 1972 Manpower backed Vega to the Winners Circle to secure his 4th Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Wally.
“The team worked extremely hard during the winter, having 8 cars to prepare to compete week in and week out is tough, I can’t thank them enough for the effort, likewise we couldn’t do it without my dad and supporting sponsors when you win one of these gold men, there are numerous people who make it happen not just me holding the wheel,” stated Steve Collier.
Collier Family Racing has 4 driver’s that compete in classes from Top Alcohol Dragster down to Super Street. Consistent Top 10 competition in the NHRA South Central Division and on the Mellow Yellow Series. Right now, Collier Racing has 2 Drivers slugging it out to get into the JEGS All-Star Event later this summer.
“My son Koy and my brother Jack are beating on each other just like relatives, no team rules in this camp, if you are going to hold it up at the end of the day, you are going to earn it, we are working hard to make sure we take Manpower to Chicago for the All-Star event” Collier smiled.
The team has a few weeks off before spinning wheels at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston, Tx, March 23rd -25th.
