Dunlop Geomax Mountain Bike Tires Are Now Available

The all-new Geomax MB34 and MB53 tires bring distinct
traction and speed options to the trail

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – October 14, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Dunlop Tires North America announces that Geomax mountain bike tires are now available to order through bicycle dealers. Riders should ask their local bicycle dealer about the Geomax MB34 and MB53. Dealers can order available models and sizes through BTI Distribution.

Introduced earlier this year, the Geomax MB34 and MB53 bring Dunlop’s motocross tire development experience to mountain biking. Both use tread patterns designed specifically for the front and rear, giving each tire a defined job in steering, braking, and drive.

The Geomax MB34 puts traction first. Its front pattern is designed for precise turn-in and stability through a corner, while the rear uses broad driving and braking edges to engage soft, loose, and changing terrain. The Geomax MB53 prioritizes rolling speed on firmer, rocky, and flowing trails. Its front pattern balances support with edge engagement, while an offset rear pattern delivers efficient rolling and progressive control as the bike leans.

“When we started developing Dunlop MTB tires, we drew on what we’ve learned in motocross about traction, braking, and how a tire communicates with the rider,” said Mike Buckley, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Dunlop Tires North America. “The MB34 and MB53 give mountain bikers two clear choices based on where and how they ride. Now they can put that performance to work on their own trails.”

Both patterns are offered with Enduro and Downhill casing options. The lighter, more compliant Enduro casing uses a single 60 TPI ply, while the two-ply 60 TPI Downhill casing adds sidewall support for harder impacts and heavier loads. Compound pairings are tuned for each tire’s purpose: the MB34 emphasizes grip, while the MB53 balances traction with faster rolling. Both also feature Progressive Cornering Block Technology, which adds biting edges during cornering while supporting the tread blocks under load.

The connection between motocross and mountain biking extends beyond tire development. Dunlop has featured motocross riders including Marvin Musquin, Taylor Robert, Nick Wey, and Vincent Wey in its MTB content, alongside top mountain bike riders including Mitch Ropelato and Luca Cometti. Their riding brings Dunlop’s Taking You Beyond story from the track to the trail.
