Mecum Monterey Reaches $114 Million as 2026 Sales Momentum Continues

The three-day auction becomes Mecum’s third $100 million-plus event of the year

WALWORTH, WI – August 20, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – This past weekend, Mecum Auctions held its annual Monterey auction during the prestigious Monterey Car Week, drawing competitive bidding throughout the three-day event. The auction generated a total of $114 million in overall sales, marking the third time Mecum has surpassed $100 million at a single event during the 2026 calendar year. Building on the record-setting start to the year at Mecum Kissimmee with $450 million in sales and a standout $200 million Indianapolis auction in May, the Monterey results further extend Mecum’s strong sales momentum throughout 2026. With the Bid Goes On department still working to finalize additional transactions, Mecum expects the Monterey sales total to increase in the coming days.
