Six-time AMA Motocross National Champion and longtime Dunlop leader to receive prestigious honor during Sept. 10 induction ceremony
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – September 1, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Dunlop Motorcycle Tires is proud to celebrate longtime member of the Dunlop family and Senior Manager of Off-Road Racing Broc Glover, who will be honored as an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend during the 2026 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sept. 10 at the Event Center at Violet Woods in Pickerington, Ohio.
Already inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000, Glover joins a select group of Hall of Famers to receive Legend status, a distinction reserved for individuals whose accomplishments and influence have extended well beyond the category for which they were originally inducted.
Known throughout the motocross world as the “Golden Boy,” Glover built one of the most successful careers in the history of American motocross. He captured six AMA Motocross National Championships, including three 500cc titles in 1981, 1983 and 1985. His six national championships stood as the benchmark in AMA motocross for nearly two decades.
Glover’s influence on the sport did not end when his professional racing career did.
For decades, he has remained deeply involved in motorcycle racing, working with riders, teams, manufacturers and the industry to help advance the sport. As Dunlop’s Senior Manager of Off-Road Racing, Glover has played an important role in the company’s racing and product development efforts, bringing the perspective of a champion racer to generations of professional and amateur competitors.
“Broc’s accomplishments on a motorcycle speak for themselves, but what makes this recognition so meaningful is everything he has contributed to the sport since his racing career ended,” said Mike Buckley, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing of Dunlop Tires North America. “Broc has spent his life helping move motorcycle racing forward. We are incredibly proud to have him as part of the Dunlop family and could not think of anyone more deserving of being recognized as an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend.”
Glover’s contributions to motorcycling have continued to earn recognition throughout his post-racing career. He has received the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lifetime Achievement Award and the MXGP Lifetime Career Award, served as Grand Marshal of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days in 2024 and helped spearhead the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Gold Jacket Program.
“To be inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame was already one of the greatest honors of my career, so to now be recognized as a Legend is incredibly special,” said Broc Glover. “Motorcycling has given me so much throughout my life, from my racing career to the relationships and opportunities I’ve had afterward. I’ve been fortunate to stay involved with the sport I love and to work alongside so many great people at Dunlop. I’m extremely grateful to the AMA for this recognition.”
Dunlop Motorcycle Tires will also serve as the Cocktail Reception Sponsor of the 2026 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, further supporting an evening dedicated to honoring the individuals who have made a lasting impact on American motorcycling.
The 2026 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class includes Russell Bobbitt, Damon Bradshaw, Eraldo Ferracci, Jake Johnson, Gary Sellers and Dale Walker. Glover will be recognized separately during the ceremony as an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend.
The 2026 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by Yamaha Motor Corporation will take place Sept. 10 at the Event Center at Violet Woods in Pickerington, Ohio.
