ADEL, GA – May 3, 2026 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – NHRA officials announced a second consecutive sellout crowd on Sunday for its debut at South Georgia Motorsports Park for the NHRA Southern Nationals.

The race marked the first visit to four new facilities during NHRA’s 75th anniversary season and fans packed the facility over the past two days.

The huge crowd on Saturday waited out a lengthy rain delay to take in the final qualifying round, and a day later, another capacity crowd enjoyed eliminations in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series from South Georgia Motorsports Park for the first time on a picture-perfect Sunday.

“Dreams do become a reality,” South Georgia Motorsports Park Owner Raul Torres said. “It’s not just me, it’s my staff, my family and this team, and thank you to all these amazing fans. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and we’re already looking forward to year number two.”

It is the third sellout day of NHRA’s milestone season, following a capacity crowd on Saturday at the NHRA Gatornationals to open the 2026 campaign.
