MIAMI GARDENS, FL – April 23, 2025 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Bonhams|Cars, in partnership with South Florida Motorsports (SFM), the organizers of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX, is proud to present the second annual Miami Auction on Saturday, May 3. Taking place in front of the podium and directly on the track at the Miami International Autodrome, the highly anticipated auction will feature a curated selection of top-tier supercars, legendary Formula 1 racecars, and historic automobilia.  

Throughout the race weekend, 38 collector cars will be showcased at the Miami International Autodrome in the Promenade for fans and collectors to admire. On the evening after the Sprint race, the auction will be staged in front a live audience of registered bidders and their guests, along with those tuning in online from around the world. The backdrop for the sale is the iconic Miami podium on the south side of Hard Rock Stadium.

The sale is headlined by one of Formula 1’s most legendary machines – the groundbreaking 2009 Brawn GP Chassis 001/01. Just one of three ever constructed, this revolutionary car stunned the motorsport world with its innovative double diffuser design, ultimately leading to Brawn GP securing the 2009 FIA Formula 1 Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships during its one and only season. The only chassis ever to be offered publicly, chassis 001/01 presents a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire the embodiment of one of the greatest underdog stories in Formula 1 history. It is estimated at $4.5 – 6.5 million. 

2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, estimated at $1,900,000 – 2,400,000

An exciting addition to the line-up is a 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, estimated at $1.9 – 2.4 million. One of just 112 units produced and with only 67 miles at the time of cataloguing, it is brutally fast going from 0-60 in just 2.8s with an 803hp hybrid V12 powerplant and a 6,498cc DOHC V12 engine. It will be offered alongside another important part of Countach history – an incredibly well-preserved 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV, estimated at $750,000 – 950,000. A quintessential 1980s supercar, it boasts astonishingly low mileage – just over 1,400 miles – and a special-order livery of Bianco Perlato on Panna leather. 

1990 Porsche 911 Classic Turbo Reimagined by Singer, estimated at $800,000 – 1,100,000

Additional highlights include a trio of Restomod cars – a 1995 Porsche 911 Speedster remastered by Gunther Werks, estimated at $1,200,000 – 1,400,000, a 1990 Porsche 911 Classic Turbo Reimagined by Singer, estimated at $800,000 – 1,100,000, and a 1971 Alfa Romeo GTA-R by Alfaholics, estimated at $400,000 – 500,000. Of particular note, the Singer Classic Turbo, a.k.a. “The Sun Valley Commission,” is not only the very first customer-delivered Singer Turbo Concept, but it is also the first such car to be offered for public sale, and the very car road and track-tested by famed journalist Chris Harris in his 40-minute film introducing the Turbo Concept.

A remarkable collection of Formula 1® race-worn helmets and overalls from some of the sport’s greatest drivers, including six Formula 1 World Champions, will also be offered in the sale. Represented in the collection are legends including Lewis Hamilton, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill, Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly. Highlights of the group include Michael Schumacher’s 1991 used helmet by Shoei and believed to be used during his early career racing karts, estimated at $30,000 – 50,000, and Leclerc’s 2020 Turkish Grand Prix used helmet by Bell, estimated at $25,000 – 35,000.
