Actor Frankie Loyal and Trinidad3 Recreate History with Jean for Bikers, Made in US

The motorcyclist and veteran-owned brand launch The Loyal, a 100% American-made jean, the way jeans were constructed when popularized by the biker community

LOS ANGELES, CA – December 15, 2023 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Frankie Loyal, known for his role as Hank “El Tranq” Loza on the FX television series “Mayans M.C.” has partnered with Trinidad Garcia III, founder of the L.A.-based premium denim label Trinidad3 to design The Loyal, a selvedge denim men’s jean made from rare, sustainably grown cotton sourced, weaved and sewn in the U.S.–the way American blue jeans used to be constructed when originally popularized by the biker community in the 1950s.

“The blue jean is a part of American history,” explains Garcia, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Senior Designer at Vidalia Mills in Louisiana, one of just two remaining denim mills in America and the only one running true American selvedge denim woven on the iconic Draper X3 vintage shuttle looms. “We are one of its largest consumers in the world, but very few jeans are made in the United States.

“Trinidad3 is committed to spearheading the return of American-made jeans to the nation and it has been an honor to work with Frankie in developing a fit made for the community that made it a staple in our culture 70 years ago.”

From LA to L.A., the new selvedge fabric used to make The Loyal is responsibly grown from BASF’s sustainable E3 cotton seeds farmed in Louisiana and Texas, and is then cut, sewn and finished in Los Angeles.

The prototype for the jean, which was worn by Loyal during the fifth and final season of “Mayans M.C.,” endured vigorous off-camera testing by the actor and motorcyclist known for his charity work within the Southern California biker community.

“I have personally put on over 20 thousand miles wearing one pair to see how they hold up,” says Loyal, who currently rides a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road King Anniversary Special. “The Loyal jean holds proper when riding. You can feel the durability and comfort. It’s the aesthetic and fit I’ve always been searching for.”

“Trinidad3 is a brand that’s built on tradition, quality and old-school ethics,” adds Loyal, who was inspired by Garcia’s continuous commitment to empowering veterans. “Once I saw what Trinidad and his company were all about, I had to get on board. It’s another reason this journey and experience have been so important to me. We want to take care of our own.”

The Loyal is a relaxed fit made from 14oz American Vidalia selvedge denim and retails for $250. It can be purchased online through the Trinidad3 website or in-store at Bartel’s Harley-Davidson.
