HOW TO WATCH: Circle K Budds Creek National

Watch All the Action from Southern Maryland Unfold Live on Peacock

MORGANTOWN, WV – August 20, 2021 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – The 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will take another step towards crowning champions this Saturday, August 21, as the series makes its anticipated return to Southern Maryland and famed Budds Creek Motocross Park. This summer tradition has been taking place in the shadow of our nation’s capital of Washington D.C. for more than 30 years, and the proximity to the heartbeat of our nation always provides added energy and ambiance to the action on the track. After a year away from this classic American motocross venue, the fastest riders on the planet and the world’s most prestigious championship are eager to once again tackle Budds Creek’s uphills, downhills, and challenging off-camber corners.

Following arguably the most impressive performance of the 2021 season thus far, Team Honda HRC’s Ken Roczen will carry the momentum of the 450 Class into Budds Creek. It’s become a two-rider battle for the Edison Dye Cup between the former champion and the breakout star of the summer, Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing’s Dylan Ferrandis. These two international rivals continue to impress each and every time the gate drops, and they’ll continue their ongoing fight at the ninth round of the season.

In the 250 Class, things have once again tightened up atop the standings as Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence made his long-awaited return to the top step of the podium. As a result, a mere four points now separate the young Australian and Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing’s Justin Cooper, who continues to lead the way thanks to podium finishes at every round this season. These two riders have traded momentum between one another from one moto to the next all summer long, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who will get the edge at Budds Creek.

In the United States, broadcast coverage from Budds Creek will feature a tape-delayed national network encore telecast of the second 450 Class moto on NBC on Sunday, August 22. Saturday’s live coverage will be anchored by a showcase of the first motos on MAVTV Motorsports Network, followed by tape-delayed coverage of the second motos on NBC Sports Network later that night. All the action, including exclusive coverage of qualifying, can also be streamed live on Peacock. Internationally, fans in more than 50 countries and territories can watch via NBC Sports Gold and through linear distribution partners.
