2022 Yamaha R7 is Here and Yoshimura Has You Covered!

CHINO, CA – July 7, 2021 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Yamaha’s new R7 is a serious entry into the twin cylinder full-faired category and Yoshimura has upped the fun factor.

Using the same chassis and engine platform as the current MT-07 was a great foundation for the 2022 Yamaha R7. Yamaha didn’t stop there, they also gave the new R7 a more radical heartbeat with a revised ECU and this new machine is one fun motorcycle.

Our R&D team confirmed fitment is the same as the MT-07 however exhaust performance grew nicely with the new ECU settings. Max HP was up 6.2% and max torque was up 6.3%. The new R7 now sounds like a beast by adding the R-77 Race Series Works Finish full system and lost some significant weight 7.7 lbs. to be exact!
