
Monterey’s Daytime Auction Set for August 12-14 at Del Monte Golf Course
WALWORTH, WI – June 3, 2021 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, announced today that headline consignments are rolling in for the company’s return to the Del Monte Golf Course at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California, this Aug. 12-14. An estimated 600 classic and collector vehicles are expected to cross the auction block along with approximately 100 vintage and antique motorcycles.

To date, car consignments for this year’s auction already include an award-winning 1936 Delahaye Type 135 Competition Court Teardrop Coupe by Figoni et Falaschi, the Shelby Cobra Concept of 2004, recognized as “The Last Cobra,” and an extravagant assemblage of more than 80 collector cars dubbed “Big Al’s Collection,” which includes a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C Long Nose, 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari, 2004 Porsche Carrera GT and a 2005 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, to name just a few.

Consignment positions are limited to 600 entries, and those wishing to participate in this year’s event are highly encouraged to submit their Request for Position forms now for optimal placement in the auction and to take full advantage of the marketing opportunities available for proactive entries.

General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day, and for $30 at the door and online after Aug. 11; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission. Doors open each day at 8 a.m. with the vehicle auction beginning on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. and on Friday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 14 at 9 a.m. Portions of the auction will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network.
