Legends and Heroes Tour

ATLANTA, GA – February 28, 2019 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The Legends and Heroes Tour Traveling Moto Museum is pleased to announce that they will again take part in the pit party activation in the Fan Fest activation at the Monster Energy Supercross on Saturday in Atlanta, GA. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the tour and their mission of celebrating the Legends and Heroes of the sport. In addition to their display of vintage machines and memorabilia, the tour will honor Damon Bradshaw during the evenings opening ceremonies.

About Damon Bradshaw– Hailing from nearby Charlotte, North Carolina, Damon Bradshaw, or “The Beast from the East” as he was also known, burst onto the professional motocross scene in Millville, MN with a fourth overall in his first national motocross event in 1988. He would continue that success in 1989 with a third-place finish in the 250SX class in San Diego and then go on to dominate the 125SX East Coast series winning six main events on his way to the championship.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Bradshaw made the jump to the premier 250SX class full time in 1990. He would find immediate success winning five main events in his first year, including the first round in Anaheim and season finale in Los Angeles. He returned in 1991 winning three main events including one right here in Atlanta. 1992 was another winning year for Bradshaw. He earned the top step on the podium nine times including a run of five in a row early in the season. In 1993 Bradshaw would add to his supercross win total with a win in Houston and another one in Atlanta.

In 1994, with the stress of professional motocross sitting on his shoulders, Bradshaw walked away from it all to gather his thoughts and see what his next step would be. He returned to racing just in time for the outdoor nationals in 1995 and would see further racing success. He would retire from professional motocross and supercross in 1997. His last professional win was in the mud at High Point earlier that season.

After supercross and motocross, Bradshaw went on to achieve success in the high flying world of Monster Trucks, but recently he’s returned to his roots in motocross and supercross as a brand advocate for Monster Energy, Gas-Gas Motorcycles and WPS-Fly Racing.

Join us on Saturday night as we honor this legend of supercross.

With the help of tour sponsor EZ-Up Shelters, the new for 2019 design will feature a walk-through timeline that celebrates all of the sports supercross champions, and since 2019 marks the 45th season of AMA Supercross, a unique feature will showcase the first champions and their machines. The tour stands behind the belief that “We Don’t Leave History Behind” and has kept the founding fathers, and mothers, pure in their thoughts by honoring the men and women that shaped supercross and motocross into what it is today.

Thanks to our local friends at each round, the Legends Tour features some of the best vintage motocross bikes on display in a single location. Featuring different vehicles at each round, our guests can relive the machines of their youth and show their family and friends the early days of motocross and supercross.
