GEICO motorcycle and The Quail Motorcycle Gathering added four new themes to this year’s event: Café Racers, Electric Motorcycles and the 25th Anniversary of the Ducati Monster with a special feature from the Arlen Ness Private Collection.
A variety of more than 300 bikes will be on display to include pre- and post-war American, British, Italian, European, Antiques and Custom bikes.
This year, The Quail Motorcycle Gathering will officially recognize Arlen Ness, Cory Ness, and Zach Ness as “Legends of the Sport” in celebration of Ness’ 45 years in the industry. On display from three generations of the Ness family, will include the Art Deco-inspired “SmoothNess” and the 1947 Harley-Davidson El Knucklehead known as “Untouchable.”
In addition to the Ness family bikes, the show will also feature motorcycle seat engineer Mike Corbin’s 1975 prototype Corbin-Gentry electric motorcycle X2 and one of the first electric motorcycles the Corbin-Gentry XLP1 electric-powered “City Bike.” The Café Racer class will be headlined by classics such as a 1967 Triton café racer, a ‘66 Velocette MS and a ‘71 Triumph T 100 R Daytona.
The show will take place at the beautiful Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, Calif., and feature a variety of activities for people of all ages to enjoy along with gourmet food, live music and goods from lifestyle vendors. Children, families and pets are welcome.
