Student Breakfast expands to include Career Day program
ALISO VIEJO, CA – Nov. 22, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Students, faculty, and school administrators from across the country will get a unique opportunity to meet and connect with racing industry professionals during the 30th Anniversary Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, taking place December 7-9, 2017, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
Following a successful first Student Breakfast at last year’s PRI Show, the special event will return in 2017 and expand to include Career Day, where motorsports companies will connect with students to share what they do and give students insight on the vast variety of career paths in the automotive industry.
“The PRI Show is the perfect venue to highlight the diversity of career pathways in the racing and performance industry,” said SEMA Senior Education Director Zane Clark. “Students and educators will be provided an exclusive opportunity to interact with leading companies and experience the excitement of the PRI Show.”
The Student Breakfast & Career Day (https://pri2017.mapyourshow.com/7_0/sessions/session-details.cfm?ScheduleID=35), held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, December 8, in the Sagamore Ballroom at the Indiana Convention Center, will feature guest speaker Adrienne Peters, Performance Marketing Manager at General Motors, sharing her candid perspective on turning a passion into a career. Immediately following the breakfast presentation, students will have an exclusive chance to meet with performance aftermarket companies and learn about career opportunities in the racing and performance industry.
Student activities at PRI 2017 also include the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., December 7–9, in rooms 125-128 of the Indiana Convention Center. The competition is a culmination of a year-long battle in which schools competed at events across the United States to qualify for this year’s Dual Championship, which is held jointly at the SEMA and PRI shows, with the top four teams from the SEMA Show competing against the top four teams from the PRI Trade Show for the national title.
