Yamaha has always been the Japanese manufacturer to pay the penalty for taking the lead. Think monoshock.. two stroke variable exhaust valve.. water cooled motocross bike.. and in every case one of the other manufacturers improved on these designs. But you have to give Yamaha credit – they push the boundaries.. and you have to respect that. I do..
