Registration now open for annual gala
PICKERINGTON, OH – October 13, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The top three finishers in 2017 American Motorcyclist Association national championship motorcycle and all-terrain vehicle competition will be honored Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, during the 2017 AMA Championship Banquet at the Hilton Downtown Columbus, 401 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio.
The gala event–which includes dinner, door prizes and refreshments–honors hundreds of top competitors in disciplines ranging from desert racing to motocross to trials and everything in between.
Class champions will receive medals and AMA No. 1 plates at the banquet, while second- and third-place finishers also receive awards. The winners of coveted annual awards, such as the AMA Grand Championship Athlete of the Year and the AMA National Championship Athlete of the Year, will be announced as well.
The AMA also will recognize top clubs and promoters in both competition and recreational riding categories.

The Hilton Downtown Columbus, located in the heart of Columbus, will host the event in the George Bellows Ballroom. The hotel is less than 25 minutes from AMA headquarters and the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame and offers easy access to the interstate and Port Columbus International Airport.

For those arriving in town for the championship banquet, an open house at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at 13515 Yarmouth Drive, Pickerington, Ohio.
Onsite registration for the banquet begins at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018. And attendees can enjoy a reception outside the George Bellows Ballroom before the AMA Championship Banquet starts at 6 p.m.
After the banquet, an after-party will take place across the hall from the George Bellows Ballroom until midnight, featuring round three of the AMA Supercross, FIM World Championship on a big screen TV.
Tickets for the AMA Championship Banquet are $75 each. AMA Life Members receive a $10 discount. Children 4 years old and younger are free.
