AIMExpo after party

Sept. 23 Bike Night features museum open house, Fun Run, ‘Thunder Roads’ Ride-In Bike Show and more

PICKERINGTON, OH – September 10, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  Motorcycle riders and enthusiasts are invited to join the American Motorcyclist Association on Sept. 23 for the official American International Motorcycle Expo Saturday night after-party — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Fall Bike Night — from 6-10 p.m. at the AMA campus in Pickerington, Ohio, just 20 minutes from the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Night features a Hall of Fame museum open house – where the bikes and achievement of hundreds of Hall of Famers are enshrined – a Thunder Roads Ride-In Bike Show, music by The Brian Panke Band, stunt shows by the Wheelie Wizzard, a trials demonstration by Trials Inc., the Paddy Wagon food truck, giveaways and many other activities.

An exhibit titled “Six Days-U.S. International Six Days Enduro Teams and the Chase for the World Trophy” will celebrate the history of U.S. competition at the FIM ISDE, capped off by the 2016 title in the FIM World Trophy division.

The exhibit will feature the four bikes ridden by the 2016 ISDE champions, along with Kurt Caselli’s 2013 ISDE bike, Hall of Famer Dick Burleson’s Husqvarna and Hall of Famer Jeff Fredette’s Kawasaki.

“We are excited to be working with AIMExpo to offer attendees even more fun-filled motorcycle opportunities and activities through the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Fall Bike Night,” AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey said. “We are expecting a large turnout for this action-packed evening that will help support the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.”

As the official Saturday night after-party of the AIMExpo, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Bike Night also will feature a Fun Run motorcycle ride led by AMA staff members from the Greater Columbus Convention Center area to the AMA campus in Pickerington.

The ride stages at 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the Columbus Vet Center, 30 Spruce St., Columbus, Ohio — across from the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The ride ends at the AMA campus, 13515 Yarmouth Drive, Pickerington, Ohio.

Onsite registration will be available the day of the ride for $20. The ride has a 75-rider limit, so those interested are encouraged to pre-register for the event before all the spots are full.
