Mercedes-Benz is Recalling certain G550 and G63 AMG and G65 AMG vehicles

Incorrect Torque on Steering Coupling

The steering coupling wear may cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC.(MBUSA) is recalling certain 2013-2016 G550 and G63 AMG vehicles and 2016 G65 AMG vehicles. The steering coupling may have been insufficiently tightened, resulting in the steering connection wearing.

Remedy: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering coupling, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in May 2017. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
