GLENDORA, CA – March 9, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – On top of seeing records for viewership and ratings in the first year of NHRA’s partnership with FOX Sports telecasting the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, NHRA’s new in-house production group garnered three Telly Awards for excellence in broadcasting.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor outstanding television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. This esteemed industry award showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies and television stations across the globe. Over 12,000 entries from all fifty states and five continents were submitted for review.
The highest ranking honor, a Silver Telly, was bestowed upon the production group for the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals in the television shows and segments in general-live events category.
NHRA also was presented a Bronze Telly Awards for Television Shows / Segments in General-Show Opening Segments for the show open of the Mopar NHRA Mile-High Nationals. The Story Continues, an NHRA marketing promotional reel in the Promotional Pieces in Craft-Directing / Editing category, also won.
