Last Gasp for Lacrecia?

Beurrier & VanBeekum Ready To Close Out 2016 BITD Season In Style

CHANDLER, AZ – December 1, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  The 2016 Best In The Desert race season comes down to the wire this weekend with the Pahrump Nugget 250 presented by The tale of two seasons concludes for the DragonFire Pro Production UTV teams of Lacrecia Beurrier and Bobby VanBeekum on Saturday, December 3. It is literally a “last gasp” for Lacrecia in her naturally aspirated Polaris RZR as she joins the Turbo teams for 2017, while Bobby is looking for anything other than a DNF in what has been a disappointing desert season for the veteran racer.

“This is a chase race and there will be seven pits,” says Best in the Desert director Casey Folks. But racers may not want to speed given the police escort to the start line. The finish line will be in the Pahrump Nugget parking lot, which suits Lacrecia just fine. “I like strategic chase type events… I have the best crew in the business and this plays to our favor.” Currently in second place for the BITD season, she wants to retire the naturally aspirated car with a win, before going to the turbo next year. “She still has plenty of power, but this is literally the last gasp for the old gal,” jokes Lacrecia.

“To finish first, you must finish first” as they say. For short course champ Bobby VanBeeukum this desert season has been one disastrous DNF after another! Fluke issues like a melted spark plug electrode at the starting line have plagued him all season long, so a little redemption would be nice. “I don’t have to win… I will consider it a victory just to make it to the finish line at the Pahrump Nugget.”

Time to end the 2016 season on a positive note!
