Anaheim Convention Center Event to Feature 750 Collector Cars at Auction
WALWORTH, WI – November 8, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, will stage Mecum Anaheim 2016 Nov. 17-19 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California featuring an estimated 750 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more to cross the auction block.
Among the main attractions at Mecum Anaheim 2016 is a pair of 1968 Pontiac Firebirds featuring the rare Ram Air option. The first, a 1968 Pontiac Firebird Ram Air I (Lot S93), is one of only 92 automatics built that year, and the second, a 1968 Ram Air II (Lot S92), is one of 110 made. Other headliners include a 1957 Ford Thunderbird E-Code (Lot S98) and a 1969 Shelby GT500 Fastback (Lot S102) equipped with the 428 SCJ Drag Pack.
Among the other auction consignments is a custom-built, California-classic 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville (Lot S95) with an LS3 V8 engine that underwent a complete frame-off restoration in 2011, as well as a 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Resto Mod (Lot S105) with an LS1 engine and fewer than 1,500 miles driven since its rotisserie restoration. Among the “no reserve” consignments is a red 2006 Ford GT (Lot S104) with 2,500 miles with a six-speed manual transmission.
The auction is open to sellers, buyers and spectators. Bidder registration is $100 in advance and $200 at the auction and includes admission for the bidder and a guest for all three auction days. General admission tickets are available at the gate for $30 per person, per day, or $60 for a three-day pass; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.
