Sets Track Record
AVONDALE, LA – October 11, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Air Lift Performance Driver Cody Miles earned a victory and track record in the Street All Wheel Drive class during the Global Time Attack event at NOLA Motorsports Park. His time of 1:48:63 gave Miles a new track record shattering the previous record of 01:55.54 set in 2015. Miles is the only Global Time Attack competitor utilizing an Air Lift Performance Air Suspension.
Miles has had a very productive season in Time Attack competition. He is currently the point leader in the Redline Time Attack Street All Wheel Drive class, winning four out of the last six events, and leads the Global Time Attack point standings. Miles has finished first in both Global Time Attacks this year. The NOLA track record marks the second time this season where Miles has bested the previous track record. The first track record he set was at Road Atlanta (Braselton, Ga) with a lap of 1:31.262. These record breaking performances come as no surprise as Miles has been dominant with his 2007 Subaru WRX STI.
“We are very excited for Cody and the success he is having,” said Devin Pringle, marketing manager at Air Lift Performance. “Knowing that our suspension system is helping his car perform to such high standards really showcases the versatility of air suspension compared other suspension systems.”
In 2015, Cody Miles won the Redline Time Attack Street All Wheel Drive class championship, and was the first driver to do it running on air suspension.
“I appreciate Cody Miles making the long trips cross country to compete at Global Time Attack, it’s been exciting watching him break records,” said Jason Dienhart, director Global Time Attack.
