Can-Am 4×4 Racers Continue GNCC Racing Dominance

September 28, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Can-Am X-Team ATV 4×4 racers continue to excel on the racetrack, notching their second straight 4×4 Pro ATV class sweep in Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) racing series action. Can-Am Outlander 4×4 racer Cody Miller posted his first morning overall victory and second class win of 2016 at round 11, The Mountaineer Run in Masontown, W.Va.

(From left) Kevin Cunningham, Cody Miller and Bryan Buckhannon have posted two consecutive podium sweeps in the GNCC 4×4 Pro ATV class the last two rounds. Cunningham won round 10,
while Miller took the win at round 11.

The victory pushed Miller to fifth in the 4×4 Pro ATV class point standings. Miller has earned two consecutive podiums since the GNCC series resumed from its long summer break. He hopes to carry his ATV momentum into the final two rounds of the 2016 schedule. The Texas racer will be competing in two classes at the final two events. He’ll continue his push into the top three in the 4×4 Pro ATV ranks and also defend his current 31-point lead in the highly competitive XC1 Pro UTV class with his Maverick side-by-side vehicle. Miller currently holds his advantage over two-time defending XC1 Pro UTV champion and Can-Am Maverick pilot Kyle Chaney and Maverick racer Tim Farr, who respectively sit second and third in points.

Kevin Cunningham (KCR / Can-Am) sits atop the 4×4 Pro ATV class point standings after 11 rounds of action, having posted nine podium finishes and four class wins
with his Can-Am Renegade X xc 1000R ATV

Cody Miller has now won two GNCC 4×4 Pro ATV class events aboard his Can-Am Outlander 4×4 ATV.

Can-Am Renegade X xc 1000R 4×4 pilot Kevin Cunningham, who won round 10, joined Miller on The Mountaineer GNCC podium. It was his ninth time on the 4×4 Pro ATV box this season. The runner-up finish pushed his class points lead to 44 points over reigning champion and fellow Renegade 4×4 racer Bryan Buckhannon heading into the final two rounds. Buckhannon finished third in West Virginia — his fifth-straight podium finish — to expand the cushion over third place to nine points.

Bryan Buckhannon has found his momentum aboard his Can-Am Renegade ATV, having earned five straight 4×4 Pro ATV class podiums in GNCC racing to take over sole possession of second place in the standings with two rounds remaining.

Four different Can-Am 4×4 Pro ATV class racers have notched at least two wins this season leading to the current class standings. Cunningham has four class victories, while Miller (two), Jordan Phillips (two) and Buckhannon (one) have earned five combined. Can-Am 4×4 racers also earned podiums sweeps in the 4×4 A/B and 4×4 Senior (40+) classes and won the 4×4 C class in West Virginia.
