MONTEREY, CA – July 9, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Nicky Hayden will wear a new custom painted Arai Corsair-X helmet at the US round of the World Superbike Championship this weekend at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Hayden, a MotoGP race winner at Laguna Seca, will wear the new design that features front portion of Nicky’s 2016 helmet design in a black and white layout and includes an image of a famous Hollywood monster and the slogan “The Creature is Back to Laguna” on the rear of the helmet.
The movie-monster based design is inspired by the classic Hollywood horror film The Creature from the Black Lagoon and ties in nicely with the race being held at Laguna Seca which translated from Spanish means dry lagoon.
“I’m thrilled with this new custom helmet design” said Hayden, the Honda World Superbike rider. “I’ve had a lot of great memories and incredible race wins here at Laguna Seca and I’m excited to see what we can do here with my Honda CBR1000RR and the World Superbike Championship this year.”
Nicky Hayden and the World Superbike Championship are racing at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this weekend July 8-10, 2016 in Monterey California and you can find more information at www.worldsbk.com.
