Savatgy Remains 250SX Series Points Leader At San Diego

CORONA, CA – February 16, 2016 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team took San Diego by storm in red, white, and blue jerseys, to show appreciation and support for the U.S. military this past weekend. Joey Savatgy and Chris Alldredge both rode extremely well in their heats, earning 2nd and 5th place finishes. In the main event the duo came out hot, leading the pack in 1st and 2nd. Alldredge would fall back due to a mechanical issue he encountered and Savatgy would seal the deal for a 1st place podium finish and remain the 250SX points leader.

Savatgy Takes Home 1st At San Diego
Joey Savatgy entered Petco Park with the goal of ending on top of that podium and remaining as the points leader in this 250SX Point Series. He started the night in the #2 spot in his heat race and would later go on to the main event, where he was able to get a great start with fellow teammate Chris Alldredge and eventually take away a 1st place victory on the podium. Savatgy is the current points leader in this West 250 Series and will continue to train hard for the same results in Round 6, Texas.

“The day was a good one, I qualified second heading into the night and had a decent heat race, and in the main I put myself in a good position to win.”

Alldredge Hungry To Advance
Chris Alldredge had the look of determination this past weekend. In Chris’ heat he was able to take away a 5th place finish and was hungry for more going into the main. In the main event, his confidence truly flourished as he lead the pack out of the gate in first, just ahead of teammate Joey Savatgy. A mechanical problem, would force him to retire from the nights competition. He is extremely eager to get back to work and showcase his skills in Texas this weekend.

“My day went really well, I started the day off with the best practice I’ve ever had, and went into qualifying with a good mindset, in my heat I had to fight back to bring home fifth, and in the main event, I unfortunately had a bike problem that put me out of the race. I’m really looking forward to the next race.”
