Last Lap Heroics Place Kawasaki’s Bryan Smith Atop the Winner’s Circle

IRVINE, CA – September 8, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) –  Crosley Radio Kawasaki, Ninja® 650 powered Bryan Smith once again put together a late race charge to win in a photo finish and collect his fifth victory of the season as he took the checkers at the Springfield Mile on Saturday night. The win marks Smith’s continued domination on mile-long tracks as he earned his fourth mile victory of 2015 and his second at the historic Springfield Mile.

Also powered by the Kawasaki Ninja 650 engine, Sammy Halbert, took the win in the Dash for Cash and came homefourth in the main event. With only three races remaining on the schedule, Smith now sits just one point back of the series leader while Halbert moved up to third in the season standings.

Next up for the AMA Pro Flat Track series is a trip to the half-mile track at Dover International Speedway for another new event on the series schedule coming on the heels of the successful debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway in August.
