MILLVILLE, MN – July 20, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Troy Lee Designs rider Fredrik Noren kept the momentum going from the previous round to tie the career-best finish he scored just two weeks ago, finishing the day at a muggy Spring Creek MX Park in seventh overall. Not only did he tie his career-best overall, Noren also picked up the best moto finish of his career by coming across the line during the second moto in fifth.
After torrential downpour came overnight to the Millville area, riders were unsure of what kind of track they would face as they came to the first gate drop. With high temperatures and humidity, Noren proved he was up for the challenge in the tough conditions. In the first moto, he scored a great start in eighth and tried as he could to move up further, but settled for eighth to start the day.
In the second moto, Noren got another great jump out of the gate, this time coming around the first lap in fourth. He battled on the now dry and somewhat dusty track to pick up fifth at the end of the moto, scoring him seventh overall on the day.
“The track conditions changed a lot throughout the day so that was something we were faced with,” said Noren. “I think overall it was a great day and this was the first really hot race we’ve had all year.”
Noren’s Team HRC Honda teammate Cole Seely arrived in Millville looking to make a comeback after treating a practice injury for the past several weeks. Unfortunately Seely suffered a crash during morning practice and was forced to sit out the day of racing in Minnesota with an apparent shoulder injury.
