ProTaper Weekly Wrap Up

ProTaper Riders Maintain Championship Points Lead

IRVINE, CA – June 2, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – In the old days diners use to serve up “blue plate specials.” However these days ProTaper is dishing out red plates around the globe.  From the Colorado high country where Jeremy Martin totally dominated both motos of AMA Pro Motocross race at the Thunder Valley National to down under for the Australian MX Nationals where Luke Clout retains his MX2 points lead despite a tough day on the sandiest track in Australia, ProTaper has the red plates for the 250 series points leaders. Meanwhile Max Nagl maintained his MXGP open class lead. No matter the class or the series ProTaper riders continued to serve up the “red plate specials” this week!

ProTaper claimed another podium with Zach Osborne finishing second in the class. Max Nagl Continues To Lead Championship Points At MXGP of France

Current red plate holder, ProTaper’s Max Nagl, maintained his championship points lead with a 6-2 finish to earn fourth overall. ProTaper’s Todd Waters finished 12-13 to round out the top 10. Riders will now make their way to the ninth round of the series, to be held June 14 at the MXGP of Italy in Maggiora.

Australian MX Nationals
Luke Clout Holds On To Points Lead At Coolum Pines

Round five of the Australian MX Nationals was held over the weekend at the Coolum Pines Motocross Track in Coolum Beach QLD. With tough track conditions for the MX2 class, and 7 of the 31 riders unable to finish the first moto at one of the sandiest tracks of the series, ProTaper’s Jed Beaton and Luke Clout stayed focused and walked away with 6th and 10th place finishes, respectively. The challenging ride paid off for Clout, as he still maintains the championship points lead in the series in MX2. Riders will now make their way to the sixth round of the series, to be held July 5th at MX Central Ride Park in Raymond Terrace NSW.
