COMPTON, CA – May 29, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The high flying short course off-road racing track at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park is the stage for Rounds 5 & 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and Greg Adler will be among the sports’ elite to face off in front of what is anticipated to be a capacity crowd. Although the podium has eluded Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts this season, they are poised to climb the Pro4 class standings this weekend at the series’ signature facility in Southern California’s Inland Empire. Now, with four rounds of racing in the books, the team’s visit to Lake Elsinore, represents a pivotal point in the 18-round season.
“We have all the pieces in place to make a strong run this weekend,” said Adler. “This Pro4 field is the deepest it’s been in quite some time and these guys don’t give up positions without a fight. We’ve been in some great battles this season and we’re expecting more of the same this weekend in Elsinore. We’re going to go out there, look to qualify well, get up in the front of the pack and fight for a podium spot.”
The season opening rounds at Lake Elsinore drew standing room only crowds who reveled in the spectacle of full contact action that short course off-road racing provides, while putting the teams to the test as they work to keep the high tech machinery on the track. While Adler and the team has already faced its share of adversity this season, the crew, led by Team Manager Cory Kruseman and Crew Chief Mike Seat, is loaded with experienced veterans who have collected numerous victories and season championships. Adler is confident that he is prepared for the team’s return to the track.
“We’ve definitely had our share of contact this season,” he said. “These guys are pros and I know they’re going to give me a truck that can put us on the podium. It’s going to be my job to take the battle to these guys, stay out of the carnage and get us back up on the box.”
In addition to back to back daytime events this weekend, May 30-31 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, the 18-round Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series also competes on purpose-built tracks in Arizona, Nevada, Utah and San Bernardino, California as well as this season’s inaugural event in Ensenada, Mexico.
