SAN BERNARDINO, CA – May 25, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely returned to action after sitting out most of the opening round to collect his first career 450 Class top-10 finish with a 14-9 moto result. He will be one of the riders in contention for the RC Hard Charger Award with a come from behind finish after going down on the opening lap.
Putting last week behind him, Seely knew his starts would be important. He got a good jump, but unfortunately went down on the opening lap, clocking in at 38th when he came around the first time. He didn’t let that stop his fire as he picked off riders every lap, eventually finishing an impressive 14th. The second moto, he grabbed a better start, going on to finish ninth for ninth overall.
“This weekend definitely went better than last, but that first moto wasn’t how I wanted to start the day,” said Seely. “I used a lot of energy getting through the pack and the second moto was pretty rough with lots of hard edges and breaking bumps to tackle. I’m really glad to get out of here healthy and we’ll see what we can do next weekend.”
Seely’s next stop on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series tour will be in Lakewood, Colorado next Saturday, May 30 at Thunder Valley Motocross Park.
Seely was wearing the SE Air Cosmic Camo Green/Yellow and SE Air Starburst Flo Yellow/Black Racewear, along with the SE3 Midnight Helmet. See more of the 2016 gear sets and the 2016 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
